How to Prepare for An Engagement Session
Engagement sessions are seriously some of my favorites. Couples who are so giddy about the prospect of being married and still in shock about the fact that it is going to happen are so fun to interact with and get to know. Often times though, this is the first time that couples are taking professional pictures together, which can be kind of nerve-racking. Because of this, I decided to put together a small list of steps you can take to prepare yourself for the best, most exciting session ever.
Linda - Backyard Portrait Session
Short and sweet post for the week - I'm a little overwhelmed with the amount of things that have to get done, but I wanted to make time for this!
How I Learned to Combat Stress in My Life
How are you feeling today?
Stressed.
I can't tell you how many times I've either answered or mentally answered this way. I will admit, with work, planning a wedding, leading Bible studies, and running this photography business, I am stretched pretty thin and can get stressed very quickly. I've really been addressing and figuring out what is causing the stress and how I can better deal with it, so I thought I would share what works for me :)
3 Hidden Reasons to Hire A Professional Wedding Photographer
So you are getting married. YES!!!
But, as many of us do, you are trying to save money and cut corners where you can. DIY'ing your decor, getting your wedding shoes on clearance, having your sister do your hair. And then you remember that your uncle just got a new DSLR camera - well he can just take your wedding pictures, right?
NO!
Laura Shay - Winter Uptown Portrait Session
Happy Monday everyone!
A quick post for the day, but honestly one of my favorites. I love the chance to really get to sit down and chat with people when I photograph them. My main goal is to be able to capture a glimpse of their personality - a glance into their life.
What is Your Why?
The world is obsessed with the what and the how, but I am falling in love with the why.
