When I first started getting into wedding photography, I SCOURED other photographers’ blog to see what kind of gear they used for a wedding day.  Camera equipment is majorly expensive, so picking the right pieces to invest in that you’ll truly use on a wedding day is CRUCIAL.

YOU’RE ENGAGED!!!!!!!!!!!! First of all, CONGRATULATIONS on such an amazing time in your life!  I’m sure you are feeling all of the feelings in the world - excitement, nervousness, joy, confusion, anticipation, and just plain overwhelmed.

After the shock goes away, you might be sitting back and wondering, what in the world do I do now?

Clients.  Taxes. Emails.  Deadlines. Paperwork.  The to do list of a business owner can get really overwhelming REALLY quickly.  

Anyone out there get overwhelmed by the pure organizing side of their business?

NEVER PRINT YOUR PROFESSIONAL WEDDING PHOTOS AT WALGREENS.  NEVER!!!

I can’t even tell you the number of times I internally cringe when someone tells me they are going to print their PROFESSIONAL photos at WALGREENS.

I get it people.  I’m about as cheap as they get, so I understand wanting to print your photos at Walgreens.  I even tried this at the beginning of my business, but I quickly learned it wasn’t the best option.

I used to think that the goal in marriage was to do everything perfectly, and together.

Hank and I, in our first few months of marriage, seemed to almost “walk around” in each other in an attempt to make sure everything went perfectly - and was always fun!  We would try to occupy ourselves each evening with new activities (avoiding the TV because we thought it was bad), tried shouldering the chores for each other in an attempt to “serve” each other, and didn’t really talk about how those things were making us feel.

And guess what happened?

I LOVE PLANNING MORNING ROUTINES.

Yes, maybe I am crazy.  Okay, I’m crazy. But here’s the deal: I’m a morning person, and I LOVE planning.  So planning morning routines are probably one of my favorite activities, like ever.
